This how how I make Surfboards

- No Pre-shapes,
- No Pop -Outs from China or Asia
I do all the work start to finish, using the best blanks and materials. I use Solar curing resin because it’s stronger, fully cured in 10 min. less fumes and pollution and less wastage. I’ve worked in a lot of big surfboard factories over my 40+ years making boards and I know that all those big name brand boards and models are just numbers to the guys making them, they’re getting paid by the board.
So the faster they go the more they make and with computers and shaping machines the guy whose name is on the board has probably never even touched it.
It’s just a number on an order form or stock board worth X amount of dollars to each person who works on it. so much to glass, so much to spray, so much to finish etc. Unless you’re a surf star then you get the royal treatment.
This is why I have sticked to how how I have always done it, quality hand shaped and glassed built surfboards with every attention to detail. When I do a board, everyone gets the same treatment, we decide what you want or need and then I make it start to finish. Everyone is different, we decide the length, width, thickness, fin set up, combination of glass for a stronger or lighter board, type of finish, Pro-finish, wet n dry or finish coat and polish. It’s all up to the customer with a little advice from me to help get what you need as well as what you want.
